Welcome to our Nursery (Archive 14-15)
Here at Delph Side Nursery, we have lots of fun learning through play in our fabulous indoor and outdoor area. Our sessions run from 8.30 to 11.30 in the morning and 12.30 to 3.30 in the afternoon. Children can attend 5 sessions a week, either mornings, afternoons or a combination of both (subject to availability). Please have a look at our photos of all the exciting things that we have been doing this year!

Did you know?
Children can now start Nursery from their 3rd birthday. Contact the school if you have a child who will be turning 3 soon.
Around the World
Our topic for this half term is 'Around the World'. We will be reading stories set in other countries like Handa's Surprise, Giraffes Can't Dance, Rumble in the Jungle, The Snail and the Whale and Tiddalik. The children have already been having lots of fun tasting tropical fruits and exploring different ways to paint using their feet!
This half term we will also be celebrating Father's Day with our monsters vs aliens model making event and taking part in our sports day with Reception.
Botanical Gardens Trip
Nursery had lots of fun today when we had a visit from the police!
We went to ‘big school’ to join in with Gathering wearing our Easter bonnets. Look how great we look! Congratulations to Harry and Elizabeth who won 1st and 2nd prize in our class Easter bonnet competition.
We all dressed in red for comic relief and had some red jelly for snack!
We had lots of fun looking at the chicks that have hatched in Reception class. The children took turns to gently hold a chick too!
Mobile Reptile Experience
The Reptile experience came to school as part of British Science Week. We asked lots of great questions and made great comments about the millipede, lizard, bearded dragon, giant snail and python! Lots of the children touched the creatures to see what they felt like; Miss O’Hare was very brave holding the snake but Mrs Hanley was not!!!
