Delph Side Community Primary School

Inspiring each other to succeed and exceed!

Jigsaw

Delph Side Primary School we follow the Jigsaw PSHE Scheme of Work.Jigsaw is a scheme of Work for the whole Primary School. It brings together PSHE Education, emotional literacy, British Values, social skills and spiritual development in a comprehensive scheme of learning. SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural). All of these pieces of learning are brought together to form a cohesive picture, helping children to know and value who they are and understand how they relate to other people in the world.

Below you will find a whole school overview of the puzzles (themes) taught in each year. There are 6 Puzzles in each year group, each half term there is a whole school assembly to introduce the children to their new theme. On a Friday during gathering we have a Weekly Celebration which highlights a theme from that week’s lesson across the school, and encourages children to reflect that learning in their behaviour and attitudes.
